Available for Adoption

Our adoptable hounds are all ages, colors, genders, sizes and personalities. Each was rescued from a precarious situation and required rehabilitation and medical care. Some have special needs and will require just the right situation and an experienced sighthound owner. All dogs are vaccinated, chipped and neutered.

Fernanda

  • NAME: Fernanda
  • BREED: Podenco Andaluz
  • DOB: 7/12/2016
  • WEIGHT: 41 lbs.
  • KITTIES: Unkown
  • OTHER DOGS: Yes
  • CRATE TRAINED: Not officially, but not scared of the crate either.
  • CAR RIDES: Does well
  • ON LEAD: Pretty chill
  • CURRENT LOCATION:  Spain
  • AVAILABLE: Arriving November 4, 2026
  • ADOPTION FEE: $950
  • LOOKING FOR: A family that wants to make sure this enduring little madam has a life so filled with excess love and comforts that when she finally leaves this earth, hopefully years from now, all she remembers is how wonderful it was. While Fernanda will be fully vetted and up to date on vaccines etc. we would like to see her with a family who is willing to ensure she gets the extra special senior care she deserves to feel her very best.
  • ADDITIONAL INFO:  Fernanda was surrendered by a hunter in southern Spain at 10 years old. Our friends at Ibizan Hound Rescue agreed to take her for us and make sure she’s ready for her flight in November, having arrived to them on July 9th. She has probably had many, many litters of puppies, she’s positive for tick borne illnesses which are being treated, is anemic, missing a toe on front foot, and has some mammary tumors that will be removed. Despite all of this she is a happy little gal, who was probably a badass in her day, and still is. She occasionally puts on a burst of speed with the other dogs, walked into Ibizan Hound Rescue like she owned the place, and was easily accepted by every dog, especially the puppies whom she adores. Like most of the senior Spaniards, she is a magical creature. We feel very honored to help her find a family that will make sure her final years are the best ones of her life. More photos coming soon.

Ollie

  • NAME: Ollie
  • BREED: Galgo
  • DOB: 1/30/22025
  • WEIGHT: 58 lbs.
  • KITTIES: Unkown
  • OTHER DOGS: Yes
  • PEOPLE: Yes
  • CRATE TRAINED: Not officially, but not scared of the crate.
  • CAR RIDES: Does fine
  • ON LEAD: Average, not perfect, but not psycho
  • CURRENT LOCATION:  Mandy’s Rescue Dogs in Spain
  • AVAILABLE: Arriving November 1, 2026
  • ADOPTION FEE: $950
  • LOOKING FOR: Ollie would like a family that is just as kind, easy, joyous as he is. We especially want a family that is going to dote and put Ollie at the center of their world. He will be happy with other friends, but not so many he’ll get lost in the shuffle, and could do fine as only with a vibrant human willing to take him everywhere, spend time in the yard with him, or make sure he gets plenty of walkies and snackies.
  • ADDITIONAL INFO:  Ollie loves other dogs, he loves to play, with males or females he’s a kind, fun guy, but his number one priority is getting love and snuggles from humans. If you want an aloof, independent dog who prefers to entertain himself and spend hours alone, this is most definitely not your dog. Ollie is young and active as most every healthy young dog is. He’s very heartfelt, curious, enjoys engaging in life, and getting and giving love. And gorgeous.

Mitsu

  • NAME: Mitsu
  • BREED: Galgo
  • DOB:  01/21/2024
  • WEIGHT: 41 lbs.
  • KITTIES: Workable
  • OTHER DOGS: Yes
  • HUMANS: Yes
  • CRATE TRAINED: Not officially, but not scared
  • CAR RIDES: Yep
  • ON LEAD: Good
  • CURRENT LOCATION:  Mandy’s Rescue Dogs in Spain
  • AVAILABLE: Arriving November 4, 2026
  • ADOPTION FEE: $950
  • LOOKING FOR: Mitsu is just an all around wonderful Galgo. She can really fit in with most any situation, though we would like her to have at least one other canine buddy she can play with (not a tiny teacup dog or “larger gecko”). She would do fine in a quieter home as long as she gets time to play and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air every day. She is still young and has the energy and stimulation needs normal to any healthy, young creature. She could also do fine in a higher energy or more active home. She is wonderfully sociable with other animals, and despite arriving a little shy and shut down to the rescue in Spain, she is a confident, fun loving gal now who enjoys toys and human snuggles.
  • ADDITIONAL INFO: Mitsu is adaptable, happy, takes life as it comes, enjoys her canine pals, her human pals, is at ease in a crowded veterinarian waiting room, has a live and let live attitude with the cats she been exposed to, and will only continue to grow in confidence and happiness as her life unfolds with love. She’s a dog we are very excited to have in our Bluebird family and we can’t wait to see who the lucky family is that ends up with this wonderful girl.
